Nelsonville Cindy Ellen Roman (Powell), age 64 of Nelsonville, passed away on Saturday, March 22nd, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains Cindy was born on May 20th, 1960 to Rich and Faunie Powell. She was a 1978 graduate of Nelsonville York High School, and attended Hocking College. She was formally an employee of Hocking Athens Perry Community Action, COAD, SEORJ, and Fruth Pharmacy- all of which she spoke fondly of. Cindy described herself as a lover, not a fighter- and she loved many things; including babies, animals, word search puzzles, bingo, and dancing to oldies music. But most of all, she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She stayed sassy, stubborn, and funny until the very end, making everyone around her laugh in her final moment.Before her illnesses, she was an avid cook.
